Who we are
BioTipp was founded in 1990 by two Irish scientists, Joe Walsh (biochemistry) and Joan Gaw (microbiology / biotechnology), both with extensive experience in clinical research and the medical diagnostics industry (Olympus, Organon and Trinity College Medical School Dublin). The company has since evolved to become a leading supplier of quality media, apparatus and consumables, primarily in the areas of human infertility, Assisted Reproduction Technologies (ART) and Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostics.
Distributed products from over 75 international suppliers, including many temperature sensitive goods, are transported by effective Supply Chain Management (SCM) thus keeping transit times to a minimum and guaranteeing you traceable deliveties when you need them. Many hospital managers are trying to reduce the number of suppliers they deal with, hence the appeal of BioTipp as a single source, single delivery and single invoice.
BioTipp head office is strategically located in the Ireland's Golden Vale in Tipperary and is reaping all benefits of operating from the only English speaking country in Euroland - a factor particularly attractive to US and GB suppliers.

What we do
Simply put - we get you what you want when you want it with the least amount of fuss, thereby taking the hassle out of ordering and supply. Speedy efficient delivery at short notice is our speciality.
Areas of interest
Our primary interests are in IVF / fertility clinics, doctors office market, home diagnostics, midwifery and recently we have become synonymous with student health (test for pregnancy, ovulation, infectious mononucleosis, sexually transmitted diseases, drugs of abuse, and a new anti-date rape test called Proofies).
Delivery
In as far as possible, goods will be supplied on a 24hr next day basis, though we will not ship culture media over weekends. We will fax / e-mail you regarding delivery. Please inform us if the goods have not arrived by 4pm. All culture media will be sent in insulated boxes with ice-packs.
- As a 24-7-52 company, BioTipp is contactable around the clock, 7 days a weekm 52 weeks per year.
- For temperature-sensitive goods, such as culture media etc., BioTipp aims to provide an overnight service to Great Britain and Europe and 48 hour service elsewhere.
- Once established as a customer, BioTipp undertakes to maintain minimum stocks for that particular customer and so avoid any last minute / emergency requirements. This policy appeals to our IVF customers in view of the unpredictable nature of that sector.
- Using the old adage, „The customer is always right”, and our own version of another „A customer in need is a customer indeed”, BioTipp aims to assure customer satisfaction.
