MediCult Launches New Device for Vitrification
MediCult A/S has entered into a non-exclusive agreement with Cryo Bio System, a division of IMV Technologies to distribute the High Security Vitrification device together with the MediCult vitrification media for cryopreservation of embryos.
Vitrification is an ultra-rapid cooling technique. The high rate of cooling allows an immediate transition into a glass-like state. Oocytes and embryos are efficiently preserved at -196C without any damaging ice formation, therefore this method has the potential of improving survival upon re-thawing. Vitrification is a booming cryopreservation technique which allows for full-range cryopreservation, suitable for both oocytes and all IVF embryo stages.
